Cage Fury Fighting Championships will return to Atlantic City on Friday, July 17, with a vacant featherweight title fight leading CFFC 157 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena.

Christian Bobe and Abdysamat Malakanov enter the main event with matching 4-1 professional records. Their championship fight leads a card featuring established CFFC competitors, undefeated prospects and two title bouts.

Only five days remain before the first bell, and tickets are still available for an event that will begin one of Atlantic City’s busiest entertainment weekends of the summer.

Bobe and Malakanov Meet for the Vacant Featherweight Title

Former CFFC featherweight champion Ryan Cafaro left the championship vacant after moving overseas to compete for Japan’s Rizin Fighting Federation. CFFC 157 will determine his successor when Bobe and Malakanov enter the cage.

Bobe represents Marquez MMA and owns a 4-1 record in both professional MMA and CFFC competition. He earned this title opportunity with three consecutive stoppage victories, handing all three opponents their first professional losses.

Malakanov also carries a 4-1 record and will make his CFFC debut with an immediate championship opportunity. The Kyrgyzstan native recently moved to California to train with Team Alpha Male under UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber and recorded a knockout victory in May.

Beyond the featherweight headliner, CFFC 157 includes a NextGen championship fight between reigning 190-pound champion Joey Milano and challenger Jesse Pastore.

Lightweights David Bergida and Will Breslin are also scheduled to meet, while Manny Morales faces Sarek Shields at welterweight. Tyler Berger will fight Christian Carr at featherweight, and Paige Wilcox meets Lateesha Potoka at strawweight.

Friday night’s fight at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino begins a three-day stretch of major entertainment along the Boardwalk and beach.

The Atlantic City Beach Festival follows on July 18 and 19 with World Cup matches on giant screens, live Latin music, food vendors and family activities across both days.
